Both models use a synthetic-and-mesh upper with a GORE-TEX membrane. Merrell describes the construction as waterproof and breathable. Underfoot, a lightweight EVA foam midsole sits above a rubber outsole with 4 mm lugs, while the lining and footbed incorporate recycled materials.
